Because our travel park is centrally located on Florida's west coast you are near just about every major adventure park there is. Most popular is Disney World, Sea World, and Bush Gardens. Special to the area is Weeki Wachee, Homosassa Springs, and Cypress Gardens. For an educational adventure you may like the Florida Aquarium, Lowery Park Zoo, or how about Riplies Believe it or not Museum.

A Place To Call Home

You will meet the nicest people and make some lasting friendships here in our beautiful, fully equipped recreation center where you can enjoy a multitude of activities such as potlucks, dances, cards, billiards, crafts, live entertainment, shuffleboard or lounging in elegant comfort around the pool. This is one of the most active parks around with as many as 10 different activities in a day.

Recreational Activities

Ja-Mar Travel specializes in social activities. During the seasonal months we host as many as 12 activities per day. In our full equipped, state of the art, recreation center we bring in our own live entertainment. We also plan cruises, excursions to Shreveport, and many trips to Orlando.

Special Activities

Pizza Night

Activities, parties, and functions that are centered around food is one of our park’s specialties. Pancake breakfasts, biscuits and gravy, and continental breakfasts are very common for a Saturday morning or any other morning that we can fit it in on our schedule! Soup and salad luncheons, Hot turkey sandwiches, and hot dog luncheons are a regular part of our weekday gatherings! And then in the evenings, we have our famous pizza parties. Tons of pizza, tons of topping, and tons of people- You are guaranteed to have a great time!

Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry season is an important time in Florida. With Florida’s strawberry festival not too far away, we load up on the strawberries, bring in the biscuits and cakes, whip toppings, and let you create your own famous Florida strawberry shortcake!

Swiss Steak Night

This picture shows that even the men get in the kitchen at Ja-Mar There are a multitude of opportunities for you to get involved at our parks. The activities are park run by a committee of residents. So, bring your gifts and your talents, and get plugged in for your friends and for your enjoyment. With so much to do and the luxury to just lay around the pool and do some reading, you will think that the winter months went by much too quickly.
